About this Event

For many years, law firms have been developing remote working practices in a bid to offer flexibility to their employees and boost financial savings. The COVID-19 crisis has significantly highlighted the importance of a flexible remote workforce for business continuity. This event takes a look at some of the latest Cyber Threats posed by remote working and how law firms can protect themselves from Cyber Criminals.

About the speakers:

PC Rob Cowgill, West Yorkshire Police, is the current Force Protect Delivery Officer for West Yorkshire Police and provides businesses and schools with complimentary Cyber Security user education and awareness sessions.

Chris Murray, Bleam Cyber Security, is a CISSP certified information security specialist and a director of Bleam Cyber Security. Chris has over 10 years’ experience working in enterprise IT and security, including the in-sourcing of a managed security service for the UK’s largest retail bank.

Peter Wright, Digital Law, is a solicitor who has been advising clients on Data Protection for over a decade. He is the founder of Digital Law and the Chair of the Law Society’s Policy and Regulatory Affairs Committee, managing the work of the Law Society’s thirty legal policy and regulatory committees and providing overall strategic direction and vision. Peter is also the author of the Law Society Cyber Security Toolkit.

Paul Morse, Avast, is a senior engineer from Avast Business with over 20 years’ experience in IT security. Paul has worked in a range of roles covering all aspects of pre and post sales including solution design and deployment, consultancy, and 3rd line support.
