Yorkshire Union Workshop – Lockdown and Local Law Societies – 6th August 2020

dangerous coronavirus Covid-19 virus in a laboratory - infection of 2019-nCoV virus. Global pandemic risk due to coronavirus outbreak

The impact of the Covid 19 lockdown on the legal profession in Yorkshire has been profound and many of the local law societies in Yorkshire are to a greater or lesser extent struggling with the fallout. The Yorkshire Union of Law Societies has arranged to hold an informal Zoom workshop on Thursday 6th August at 1.00 pm to enable representatives from all the local societies in Yorkshire to discuss how to deal with the problems that are arising.

These are just some of the questions that have arisen in discussions I have had with local law societies. We do not have all the answers but I believe that discussion between all the local law societies will be extremely helpful.

There is no limit on the number of representatives from each local law society that can join in the discussion but can you please ensure that at least one representative from your local law society does join in the discussion to tell the workshop what particular problems are facing your local law society and how you are tackling those problems.

I envisage that the workshop should  last no more than one hour.

Login in details for the meeting will follow shortly but in the meantime can you please let me know who will be joining the discussion from your local law society.

Kind regards,

David
