An Introduction to Legal Apprenticeships

March 3, 2021 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

BPP is one of the UK’s largest providers of professional apprenticeship training.

Apprenticeships are available to anyone who wants to enhance their career regardless of their background, age or experience. They provide the opportunity to develop a stronger, wider and deeper skill set. Law firms of all sizes are now embracing legal apprenticeships as part of their recruitment model and that trend is only expected to grow with the introduction of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) in September. There are also significant funding benefits for non-levy paying firms.

Tim Maddison, Head of Law for Leeds at BPP University Law School, will be hosting an event in conjunction with Leeds Law Society. During the session, Tim will focus on:

  • an introduction to legal apprenticeships
  • the funding options for both levy and non-levy paying organisations
  • the benefits of hiring an apprentice
  • how apprentices will develop their skills during the programme

Tim will also be bringing a legal apprentice and line manager along who can give an insight into the role and how it works for the firm.
